Call for Applications: Trade and Gender Programme Delivery Consultants – AITCR

Africa International Trade & Commerce Research (AITCR), in partnership with the Africa Centre for International Trade and Development (ACINTaD, Ghana) and AFRIK’ACT Research and Consulting (Togo), is inviting applications for Trade and Gender Programme Delivery Consultants.

This role forms part of the Making Trade Work for Women (MTWW) in West Africa project, funded by the Government of Canada through Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and administered by TradeMark Africa (TMA). AITCR is the lead implementing partner, working alongside ACINTaD and AFRIK’ACT across Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, and Togo. The project supports women traders, MSMEs, and cooperatives in participating more fully in regional and cross-border trade, work that sits alongside the broader inclusive-trade goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Trade and Gender Programme Delivery Consultants

AITCR is seeking qualified consultants to support the implementation of trade and gender programme activities across participating West African countries. The role covers:

• Training and capacity building
• Stakeholder mobilisation
• Technical assistance
• Field research and data collection
• Gender-responsive trade analysis
• Activity implementation
• Documentation and reporting
• Contribution to project milestones

Who we’re looking for:

• Relevant experience in trade facilitation, with a strong preference for candidates with 7 or more years of experience
• A track record on donor-funded projects
• Skills in training facilitation, stakeholder engagement, public speaking, community mobilisation, and gender mainstreaming
• Experience in conducting data analysis and writing technical report
• Familiarity with digital data collection tools
• Willingness to travel across West Africa trade corridors
• Fluency in both English and French (Advantage)
