Narrative Description of Project: The project is an independent post-project evaluation of the Resilient Shea Agroforestry Farm Model project, a component of the West African region’s commitment to implement the Paris Climate Agreement through capacity-building activities for ECOWAS and its regional institutions. The project assesses the relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of the outputs and achievements of the project, Drawing lessons learned for better implementation performance and possible scaling up, making recommendations to strengthen the impact and sustainability of the achievements after the end of the project; Value the indicators mentioned in the ToR, (including mandatory standard indicators of the GCCA+AO) in the project’s logical framework are calculated, and the deviations from the targets are analyzed, and data collected from the evaluative. The project contributed to policy recommendations for the agroforestry farm model that will benefit and improve soil fertility and increase productivity for beneficiaries and smallholder farmers. The following key findings to enable beneficiaries to increase the climate resilience of smallholder farmers and livelihood and incorporate the Agroforestry Farm Model into the National Shea Policy, strengthening synergy between actors in the shea value chain, technical training on tackling Pest Infestation, Technical training on financial literacy and farm management, Ensure the farmlands are protected and offer basic support for replication |
