Xchange Oil & Gas Group is one of the foremost indigenous oil & gas company in Nigeria with vast interests milling, agro-allied, oil and gas.

 

After the climax of the privatisation of the power sector in Nigeria which went on for several years. The landmark event in the Nigerian Power Sector which aims to give Nigerians more stable, constant and affordable power supply propelled by the private-sector driven power sector. Xchange oil & gas decided to explore opportunities in the domestic energy sector. The survey on the Perceptions of the Nigeria power sector is intended to gauge the views of Nigerians on the various policies and reforms being put together by the government.

 

AITCR on behalf of Xchange Oil & Gas Group conducted a consumer perception survey in other to measure improvements in power supply and the willingness to pay for a constant supply.

A total sample size of 3000 respondents is used for the survey across Nigeria; a proportionate stratified random sampling method is adopted for the survey. Telephone interviews are employed to collect data using structured questionnaires. The questionnaire is designed in English and the survey is conducted in English, Hausa, Yoruba, Ibo and Pidgin, to ensure coverage of relevant geographical and demographic groups. The final report was quantitative.
