Nigeria Digital Economy Roundtable: E-Commerce and Digital Payment Platforms
We are pleased to invite you to the Nigeria Digital Economy Roundtable, which will focus on the E-Commerce and Digital Payment sectors. This event provides an opportunity to network and discuss important issues affecting the industry. Supporting e-commerce and digital payments in Nigeria, especially under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), is vital. The Protocol on Digital Trade can position Nigeria as a leading e-commerce hub on the continent by increasing both the volume and value of digital trade conducted via e-commerce platforms. E-commerce is closely linked to the ease of online payments and the protection of consumer and seller data.
The roundtable is open to all stakeholders in Nigerian e-commerce and payment systems, including e-payment gateways, operators, sellers, women groups, youth and representatives from both the public and private sectors. Participants will discuss the challenges and barriers to expanding e-commerce, policy matters, intra-Africa success stories, and the necessary reforms for industry growth.
Date: 22nd November 2024
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm WAT
